How many points do I need to qualify for BuzzerBeater Madness?

As we know, in the BuzzerBeater Madness tournament, several series of 1000 teams each were assembled.

Those 1000 teams will play 7 matches per Swiss system.

The best 64 classified, qualify to other final rounds by direct elimination system.

The following tries to answer how many games I have to win out of the 7 played to qualify in the top 64 of my series.

I found this calculator for calculating expected results in a Swiss Tournament.
https://sixprizes.com/top-cut-calculator/?players=1000&...

We indicate:
Players: 1000
Rounds: 7
Top Cut (ranked): 64

Returns us:
7.8 players will get 7 points, that is, they will finish undefeated.
54.7 players will get 6 points, that is, they will end up with only one game lost.
164.1 players will get 5 points.
etc.

From there we deduce then that the 64 classified teams will have these scores:

7 points: 07.8 players
6 points: 54.7 players
5 points: 01.5 players (one or two with the best difference of so many)
-------------------------------------------------- ---------
- Total: 64.0 players

Moral: we can lose two games of the seven played and still qualify.

We will see if the mathematical prophecy is fulfilled.

I am just looking back to how many teams should have what record as the BBM tournament goes on and after yesterday we should have 64 teams with a 4-0 record, which is the total amount of teams that qualify for the knockout rounds. My Utopia team is in the bottom tier of BBM and they are some teams in the 'knockout' spots with a 3-1 record (including me). Does anyone know why or how this has happened?

Everyone with 0 losses and 1 loss will qualify due to the Swiss system.

Ah that makes sense. I guess there will be a few teams with 2 losses making the knockout rounds

I was meaning in the bottom tier, if there are less teams it means that less teams will finish 7-0 or 6-1. My 2nd team is current 3-1 in the bottom tier and I’m currently in the top 64
