Anyone knows if the injury sustained by players are related to how long they are out? Pretty curious to know the base "downtime" of some injuries.

I'm also wondering if injuries have increased this season. I have had a level 6 doctor for the longest time ever, this was the first season where I actually had injuries. First was a once week injury to my draftee, then now my U21 player is out for 2 weeks due to a broken nose (with a level 6 doctor in fact, I wonder if I didn't invest in the doctor, would he be out for a month or two?).

Hello there.

I actually noticed a bump in my injuries last season where i had 5 in the first two thirds of the season.

Back then i raised the idea that with the stamina changes, players might be more susceptible to injuries as they tire. But the general consensus was that 'your doctor is too low' or your luck just ran out.

Interesting. My draftee got injured after 46 minutes of play. That said, my current injured player got injured after only 21 minutes of play, hence it might also not be stamina.

I guess more data might help.

Tbh I would have just dismissed it as "doctor is too low" but the fact that I already have a level 6 doctor and still get a 2 week injury, that's definitely not the case. I mean, I understand injuries happen. They happened throughout my time with a level 6 doctor as well, except that they always heal after the game. This is the first time I'm seeing lingering effects (and up to 2 weeks). I just wonder how long it would be had I not have a level 6 doctor.

Doctors help reduce the severity of player injuries. Once a player is injured, a Doctor will also help him heal more quickly, but the effect is much smaller than the initial reduction in severity. Doctors can have the following specialties:

Well according to the game manual...

"Reduce severity of injury" means that your player will get a shorter length of injury, not reduce the probably of getting injured. I mean if a "broken nose" is 4 weeks regardless of level except that higher level doctors has a lower chance of getting it, it would have been "reduced chances of getting more severe injuries".

I think that there have been quite a few threads that debunks your observation but sadly it's hard for me to pull as a non supporter. Not too sure but I think even BBs had some input on it during the "ask the BBs" sessions.
