Hey guys, quick question.

I'm currently in Div 3 with a good record, with mostly young prospects. I'm trying to determine if I'll be moving up to Div 2 next season. I read the manual, and it seems a bit unclear.

Also, can anyone tell me if it's in my best interest to move up, seeing as I might go winless? What will that do to my finances? As a new team, my main goals for the next few seasons are arena expansion and player development.

There are 3 ways for promotion. As there are 20 teams relegated from div 2.

1- 16 div 3 teams that win their playoffs
2- 4 teams that are have the best records that didn’t win their playoffs (across all 16 div 3 leagues)
3- div 2 teams being bot and going up through bot promotion.

I don’t know the Canadian div 3 very well to say how many active teams are there so it’s hard to say if your record will get you promoted. There are only 2 bot teams in your 4 division 2 leagues and they look like getting relegated anyway. I would say you would have to win your playoffs to win promotion.

The main benefit of promotion is the finances. All your income sources increase, more attendance income, more merchandise and higher tv contract, although the salary floor does increase. You also receive 750k promotion bonus from winning promotion to div 2. I believe even 1 season if you’re. It ready to compete is worth it for the extra income you receive.

First of all, to promote replacing bots in a higher division, you have to finish 1st.
Actually there are 29 teams in Canada III with better qualifying/record than yours, and only 4 spots to promote, so you´d win your league.

It´s always interesting to promote, you´ll get more TV income, tickets, etc. even if you demote next season.
