Some teams can get into the playoffs even if they are bad. My team can't get in with a salary of 300000. I don't think it's fair at all。
I have a suggestion on whether the eight teams with the best records can go in, regardless of the East and West, which is a little fair.

At the end of the season, the teams will be reallocated so that the conferences will be as equal as possible.

In times like these it's better to think of each league as two smaller leagues of 8 teams, that happen to have some inter-league play in the middle of the season. I don't think there's much way of fixing it under the current league system, but it's usually self policing anyway as the weaker conference loses more teams to the relegation play-offs, and new potentially stronger teams take their place.
