Hi All,

Currently we're over half way through the season and my player (50447213) has not yet been in Proficient Game Shape. Here are my minutes week to week this past season, as you can see it's more or less pretty consistant.

Week 1: 60mins
Week 2: 63 mins
Week 3: 69 mins
Week 4: 96 mins (forgot to set line up)
Week 5: 62 mins
Week 6: 63 mins
Week 7: 71 mins
Week 8: 69 mins
Week 9: 60 mins

From my experience in this game, the closer to 60 minutes you get each week the higher your GS. I just find it weird that after such managed minutes over a long period of time that he still hasn't gotten proficient this season.

What are your thoughts? As the title says; Game mechanics, Bug, or am I just unlucky?

Poll:  What do you think?

Game Mechanics
Bug
Bad Luck Brian

Mediocre stamina, no Psychologist.

Surely it shouldn't have that much of an effect. I've got 3 other guys with worse stamina and minutes this season who are all on proficient right now.

I think game shape is too important in buzzer for luck to play such a role in it.

For example my best player with the same stamina from 2.970 (9 game shape) with 79 min went to 1.665 DMI. Of course 79 min isnt the best but also not the worst so it would be better in this cases a smaller drop.

But 3 weeks later, with excellent minutes (67, 63, 70) he is respectable at 1.160!

Its okay for luck to play a small role, but when you rotate in one of the two league games of the week so you can have better game shapes and in some cases you have worst it makes you wonder.

I had a psychologist for a while, but didnt see a big difference. May i have to rethink it.

And of course this is one example. I also had players that didnt go to 9 game shape all season, but can happen from time to time.

All in all i would recommend when a players gets good min and his gameshape is 7 or a bad 8 AT LEAST to not fall. Is something that it is possible?

There's no right option in the poll :)

For me it's just a typical cherry-picking bias. You have a dozen of players in your first-team squad, so there's a tiny chance of any chosen (in advance) player never getting 9 GS with good minutes, but there's a solid chance of at least one (random) player doing the same. And now you just complain about that one guy and not talk about others.

Cherry picking?

I dont have a problem with my other players, its this one in particular. If you're saying that only a certain amount of players will be able to be proficient Game Shape then it would fall into the category of Game Engine.

I just say GS is a kind of random thing and it's a OK to face trouble with one or two players.

As if there was a great free throw shooter who's able to make 10 of 10 FTs on a good day, but more likely he will have 9/10. And that one missed shot wasn't a bad luck actually, it's just how probability works.

So having poor GS on my key player is annoying, like missing a clutch free throw does, but it just happens, it may be categorized as Life Engine.
