I never thought about it until today despite years of playing but does Jump Range increase Shot Blocking effectiveness?

Example:

Player A has Strong OD and Strong SB but Inept JR Vs. Player B has Strong OD and Strong SB but also Strong JR

It would make sense that the player with higher JR would be the better blocker but i might be thinking about JR the wrong way and it really is just more so pertaining to shooting but not defense.

There are some skills that work well together, for example JS and JR are both important for distance shooting, DR and IS likely work well for scoring inside.

However JR is not the player's vertical jump, it's their effectiveness shooting from distance. Steph Curry is a great long-distance shooter, it has no benefit when it comes to his shot blocking.

Thank you, i appreciate the response. Perhaps athleticism should be included in player potential and development under categories of speed, strength, weight, and vertical. Similar to Stamina but being included but with variations in limits like the overall potential ratings where This players vertical will only ever be capable of reaching 5 while another player might be capable of reaching 9.
