The playoffs are almost upon us.

With 1 game left in the regular season, there is still a lot to play for in the Big 8. Three teams have clinched the playoffs, the one and two seed is undecided between the Vikings and Bunnies. San Antonio is almost locked into the third seed unless we see a couple of 40 point blow outs. The Mogul Busters and Knights are both viable candidates fro the final spot but it seems unlikely the Butchers will lose to 8th place and guaranteed relegator Seagulls. (Edit: The Butchers are the proverbial team nobody wants to play with the highest salaried starting 5. They also added some bench depth to support inside beast and likely MVP August Hiatt)

The playoff picture in the Great 8 is not as murky. The Orbitals have locked the 1 seed and can preserve enthusiasm for the playoffs. The Pixies and Fury look to be in competition for 2nd and 3rd seed but the point differential and the Pixies matched with the hapless Illiniwek almost guarantees both teams to maintain their spots in the standings. The final spot will be a barn burner of who can blow out their opponents by the largest margin. Venom and Bammablue are separated by 14 points and they are both going up against the cellar dwellers of the Great 8.

Edit #2: Sheeeeesh! THANK YOU GRIZZLIES! Nice game to seagulls, did not think we were going to drop that one but likely the Grizzlies came through and saved our season. Yikes.

I worked my way into the 1 seed and instantly regretted it. Feel like the VIkings might end up in a body bag in the bottom of the bay.

I think you still have very good odds! I think our game (any many other games that will occur during these playoffs) can go either way. There's a lot of variables that could sway some of these outcomes. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out!

Edit: @Halftime... This is going to require quite a comeback for the Butchers to continue on in these playoffs.

Wow, those semi-finals were wild. Huge win for Blue Vikings. Devastating miss on the double guess over in the Great 8.

These are some evenly-matched finals!

Makes me a little nervous to have HCA, took out a starter one minute into the game and still needed an offensive rebound for a second shot on the last possession to come from behind with six seconds to go. I'm not sure how I will get all these great circumstances again.
