I guess it would become too easy to scout with this option. 10-20pts on this and then you only interview the 5 balls potential to get their age and level. I'm sure you'll be able to find every 5/5 prospect with less than 40pts of scouting.

Plus it makes sense that you get the height and age pretty easily, then it's a bit harder to get the true level of a prospect, and finally you have to spend more time (or points in BB) to evaluate their true potential.

No, you got that wrong. What I meant was an option to uncover the exact potential of 1 draftee for 10 - 20 points or whatever.

lets say you have two 5/5 players. You would then have an option to uncover exact potential of a draftee (MVP, HoF, goat) for 10-20 points, so this is extra 10-20 points for one draftee only.

Ohh okay my bad ! I thought this was an option to show many/every potential for only 10-20 points :)

Well this one could be interesting. I like the idea of waiting for the draft to see the actual skills and potential, but since there's now an option to reveal the skills, I guess there could be the same for the potential..

I think it's just unrealistic from a scouting point of view. You can watch a player play and determine their current skill level, and you can estimate the potential of a player but you don't know for certain.

Take Wemby for example, scouts are saying he's going to be a ATG but he might get to the NBA and only be a MVP potential player (equivalent to a regular NBA all star?)

So i think having a way to 'scout' exact potential is just unrealistic, if that's what BB is trying to emulate

Wemby has an all-time great potential for sure :P
But he surely has a bigger injury prone risk given his body, which is why some still doubt him.

I'm not saying i doubt him. I can't say I've seen enough of him to make a true opinion. But that was just my example.

Maybe another example could be Andrew Wiggins. He was going to be the 'Canadian Jordan' and drafted number 1 in 2014, now 8 seasons later and he's not reached that potential and never really had major injuries.

I get your point, but here in bb you realize full player potential right after the draft, while in real life this can take many seasons. So overall I dont like your comparison to real life, because I think this aspect just can't be (nor is it necessary to me) modelled to the game without major changes.

I see what you mean. BUT
I think everyone can see that someone Like LeBron or Wemby has hall off fame/all time great potential even before the draft. The thing is can he fullfill his potential and that is more of a problem with someone like Andrew Wiggins or maybe even better gregg oden.
The potential is there they just didn't develop it well enough. That is what happens here in BB as well sometimes when people stop training.
