The first time I started to analyse Experience was somewhere in Season 15. At that time I got some results and the topic died more or less for me.
During the last months I had some new interest in this topic and ran (together with some managers) a new round.
My assumption:
a+b+c+d+e+f+g+h = 1,0
a - regular league games
b - relegation / playoff
c - cup
d - BBM
e - B3
f - U21
g - NT
h - scrimmage
Depending on the minutes a player plays, he will receive experience and get his skill up.
I asked Justin if every skill up is calculated simular or if 12->13 needs more minutes overall than 2->3.
Every up has the same calculation, so there is no difference overall.
My result until now:
a (reg. league):0,0006667 --> 1.500 minutes for 1 up
b (playoffs/relegation): 0,00125 --> 800 minutes for 1 up
c (cup): 0,00090798 --> 1.100 minutes for 1 up
d (BBM): 0,00125 --> 800 minutes for 1 up
e (B3): --- had no data
f (U21): 0,002 --> 500 minutes for 1 up
g (NT): 0,002 --> 500 minutes for 1 up
h (scrimmage): 0,0001848 --> 5.400 minutes for 1 up
(I do not say, these numbers are 100% correct.)
A player would get 0,0006667 experience per played minute for a regular game.
He would need 1.500 minutes of regular games for one experience up.
We used buzzermanager to find out in which weeks the ups occured. Sometimes it is not possibel to pinpoint the exact game, so I have a deviation of +/-3% overall.
The problem:
There are two players with huge deviations, which I cannot explain. They are out of every scale.
One is my own player Kiebitz. He has experience 17 and more than 1.000 minutes of cup and more than 4.500 minutes of scrimmage since his up to 17. According to the results he should be near Exp.19 now, but he is still at 17.
The second one was absolutely inside the formular until exp. 12.
But from 12 to 13 and from 13 to 14 it took him 50% more minutes than calculated.
If you are interessted in the topic, you can use the numbers as a base and start your own calculations. Maybe someone gets better results and can update my work.
Expericence could be an important skill for national players and teams, so boosting it shouldn't be a mistake.
Maybe Justin can also check the numbers. I would be really interessted in the huge deviation of Kiebitz. Almost 100% more minutes without an up is really strange...
