My playoff caliber team just gave up 83 points to an 0-16 team that only dressed THREE players. This 19 yr old kid scored 68 playing PATIENT offense. The most unrealistic thing I've seen in BB in 10+yrs.

Gotta learn how to manage your player's game shape dude. Game shape is very important. Some times I wish this game actually stresses the importance of game shape to newer managers because most of you fall into the trap of playing your best player 3 games a week thinking they're winning you games.

Hahaha my bad. That was actually in reference to a lot of newbies I've seen (I also realized that the player in question isn't even his best player). But seriously, I have a lot of trouble with new managers who buy up U21 players and refuse to not play them 3 games a week because it's their best player and they need him to win. And now we have an experienced manager who thinks his pitiful GS player shouldn't get torched. I don't know, I just feel that GS management needs to be highlighted more. Maybe during the tutorial.

I had five players on the court. you mean to tell me they cleared out and just let ONE defender go 1-on-1 for an entire game without intervening? Not double/triple teaming? No denying him the ball? Just stop. Incredbily stupid.

In an attempt not to hijack the thread, this raises the question of when an unskilled player in bad game shape might not be worth it. Does anyone have any idea what “game shape” the lucky fan might have? It would be logical to guess said lucky fan has minimum skills, but is it possible that an “atrocious” at 7 gs on a lucky fan would be better than “pitiful” or “awful” on a player whose GS is mismanaged?

With that in mind I guess the question is, at what level does a lucky fan become more useful than a player? Would this situation have helped our friend that started the thread?

Here are the issues i have-
Back in March, i was invovled in an OT game with playoff caliber team. I lost the game, and looking at the boxscore I saw that the other owner only dressed five players. One of his stars fouled out, and the sim brought in a "lucky fan".
How i could play a competetive team into OT, only to lose to a four man team is absolutely stupide.

In NO OTHER universe, do "lucky fans" get to play when a team is shorthanded. If a soccer team gets a red card, you play short...if a hockey players takes a penalty, the team plays short. if a team only dresses three players, even though they have a roster of 10+, too bad. The sim should NOT make up for the purposeful short coming the owner built in to the game mgt.

I dont care if Michael Jordan and two scrubs are playing a full up college level team, there is NO WAY he's going for 68. No way. So keep in mind, a 19yr old went against a playoff caliber team, who was at full strength at went for 68. never should have happened. if the sim isnt smart enough to know to double/triple team this dude, wll your sim is broken
