Hello,
If I understand everything correctly, at the moment additional merchandise generation can be scraped to basically these points :
1. Homegrown - if it is Your draftee, You will get additional percentages
2. Local player - if the nationality of the player is the same as the league You are in, You will get additional percentages.
3. National Team player - if the player You own is playing for the national team, You will get additional percentages.
4. TOP10/MVP/All star game - if the player is in the TOP10’s/MVP vote or All star game, You get an additional percentage.
What I don’t like about is this: If You buy an 18yo player from abroad, his merch revenue doesn’t really keep increasing after first season or so. So even if You train him for 9 seasons, his merch revenue will not increase after he bags a 9th season for the club, whereas in reality he would be a club legend.
So here goes my suggestion : add additional percentages for players who are playing more than 4 seasons for 1 club. Maybe not very significant ones, but just so they would exist, and maybe grown exponentially
Example :
5th season : 1%
6th season ; 1.3%
7th season : 1.69%
8th season : 2.19
9th season : 2.85
Additional suggestion : start counting what personal and team accolades has the player achieved in his career, which would also give merch bonus. As an example a 36 year old former world champion with his country would definitely get more merch revenue than a random 28yo in real life (if their skills are same) But here, a former NT player doesnt have a bonus, neither do any of the team or personal accolades of the players past.
