Training is a crap shoot as it is so any regular scrimmages should not go into overtime. It's just a practice and it doesn't matter who wins. This would help to maintain proper game shape.

Great idea.

Also, there should be a no-defense mode where it's basically impossible for players to foul out in a scrimmage.

Pretty please... these inconveniences do not actually match anything in the real game of basketball.

Somehow actual players do learn defense and I can guarantee you no one is fouling out of scrimmages.

A perfect solution. I knew they were paying you the big bucks for some reason.

I can still feel the ground shifting for the argumentative bait and switch you just pulled. I would very much deny that this is in any way "the idea in Buzzerbeater", or even "an important idea of Buzzerbeater", or even anything anyone cares about. But to each his own.

Anyway, glory to the OP for a good suggestion.

I really welcome this idea, tho I just wonder how much changes do they need to put into the GE for this.

Yes golden score in scrimmages would be great if that's easily feasible !

However, with your suggestion, there is not even a reason to keep the "45-48 minutes to train" principle, we could chose who are the 3/6 players getting full training and that's it.

This concept is something that crosses my mind whenever I think of how I would construct a theoretical Buzzerbeater reboot. I love training players, but the Hattrick model of doing so isn't particularly enjoyable for me. Battrick (HT clone for Cricket) solved this with a training nets system that I thought was a lot more elegant; 10 weekly slots that you could assign freely to as many or as few players as you want, with diminishing returns if a single player was given multiple slots.

If I could rework training to be more inspired by Battrick, my idea would have all players get the cross training based on how much they played that week (48 minutes for full training, but position doesn't matter). Then your main training would involve choosing a specific attribute to focus on in a 2 vs 2 drill, independent of minutes.
