Two reasons for this suggestion:

1. Often drafted players have 19yo
2. Could be a boost for teams that love to train

You can already cap 9 potential level players by age 24 without the youth trainer being viable for 20/21-year-old players. I don't like the idea of speeding up training any faster than it currently is right now, personally. In real life, basketball players primes are typically from ages 26-30 so BB is already slightly faster than that. BB also made the change that 33-year-olds do not drop in skills and that skill decline begins at age 34 now, so primes of BB players are already long enough.

Since you can cap most players by age 23-25, that means you have a good 9-11 seasons with them before they start to skill decline. Speeding up training more would actually hurt managers that strictly train and develop their best players, since more managers could just cap players easily in 4 seasons. You could probably even cap a lot of 9 potential level players at age 21 if the youth trainer was viable that long. This is a big no from me.

Respect your point of view. Since the beginning of BB I think the economy is not well balanced, top teams now can continue to make money buying old players training stamina or shape. Unfortunately managers that like to train don't have enough bonus. Training rookies means often having at least one match lost per week. Btw I'd like only to have other visions ;)

On a strictly personal note, a strong NO for me, since with my Utopia team, my three 19-year old trainees just turned 20, and I fired my youth trainer yesterday.

More in general, I tend to agree that I would leave it where it is, I don't love the idea of speeding up training even more, especially because that would almost guarantee that the better 7 potential level players would cap before they turn 21.

I guess 18-19 yo is more then enough, with a good training you can “boost” your training enough for young players.

Here are 2 of my project players I’ve trained for U21 for S62
