This was the player I drafted in my first season as a manager and so far I have been training his outside shooting. He was progressing very nicely going from awful (3) to the current respectable (7) in 4 weeks. From the Game Manual and forum guides I've read that this height favors guard-skills and that should be the focus of development. I also read in the Forums that you can push a SF-height player with perennial allstar (7) potential player up to 125-127 TSP. But this player is at 6'1" / 185 cm height and is 19 years old, so I'm not very confident he is that 125 TSP player. I'm a newbie so I know very little about the game.

Should I train some of his inside skills?
If so, which ones, what should I target as training goals for big man skills and when should I start that training?
What is the realistic TSP he can reach with his height and age?

P.S. I don't plan to train him 1v1/Js or any other two-position training this season, because I only have 2 more trainees and don't want to buy new ones at this point.

Edit: As a homegrown player and the first draftee in my career I obviously want to have him playing in my team until he retires.

I would disagree. With those nice starting skills, I would definitely go for some inside training, especially inside defense. Doesn't cost any salary later on - your team will profit. And, since age won't be a problem later on, rather his potential, I'd try to get him to about TSP 120+. And yes, you'd need some 1on1/ Forwards at some point. But if you want to go for homegrown and 1-position-training, I'd definitely start with the slow inside training (while it's still slightly faster) and later on switch to outside-training (which will be quite fast because of his hight, even later on ..)

btw: the only thing I wouldn't train is rebound (even though I love rebound), but that'll cap him way too soon. So only ID and maybe some shotblocking (but I myself would just stick with ID with this guy).
