I've been short a player this entire season. I'm missing a starter SF (I have a reserve but he is so not good enough to start). So I've been using my PF for my SF since my PF reserve is decent. But I'd really like a whole team.. I can't seem to find a decent SF though to buy, can anyone help? I'm going by the newbie thread with what stats they have.. and I can't find a decent one in my price range (I have $765k). Any suggestions?

If anyone wants to PM me with specific people to buy, it would be more than welcomed.. but also just looking for what stats I should focus on, because focusing on all the ones that are listed in the newbie thread is too expensive.

It's been my experience that SF's don't exist in this game.

I play a more offensive oriented team, so I would usually have another guard in that position for the outside shooting potential.

Even if you _did_ get a SF, training doesn't exactly work in their favor, so you'll spend most of the time training them as either a PF/C or PG/SG... which means you'll be playing them as those positions.

The i got must Jump Shot players usually gets SF ;) It's no problem because they are even better SG, but if you like to have it stand at your player, you had to train outside defense and jump range too.

I'd focus on jump shot primarily, then outside and inside defense, and then rebounding.
That is what I do to select my SFs.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Jump Range helps a lot too if you play a lot of Outside Shooting tactics. My SF is one of my best 3 point shooters on my team

SF need a good mix of inside and outside skills, but its not like he can get by with mediocre everywhere. In addition, the classification system used by BB might not work as well for for SF.

A forward has to start off with good inside skills, and add a JS. But if a forward has a good IS, he gets classified as a PF. So basically if you have a SF who can also hit from inside, BB says he is too good inside the paint to be a SF.

But if he has a good JS, and less IS, he might have some JR and OD and he gets called a SG. Again BB says he is too good a shooter to be a SF. But its not like being a good shot is such a bad thing.

So I'd look for someone with both good OD and ID, and perhaps is a SG or PF. I doubt that the GE would penalize a SF for having a good IS, perhaps just not utilize it as much; and similarly I don't think there would be a penalty for having a good outside shot. What is the worst than can happen, he takes some 3's and hits them?
