I'll admit I hardly ever check my roster. I've had a team for the last 3 seasons. I have made zero moves and I don't spend money other than max for the scouts. I check my team once every 3 weeks or so just out of curiosity. I so badly want to get involved with this game but I lost interest 2.5 seasons ago when I wasn't making any money. At that time I sold a lot of players and had about $1,000,000. But I was losing moeny weekly except for TV games.

Right now I have about $650,000. I have a level 3 doctor and level 6 trainer and level 6 sponsor. I don't spend money and yet I'm in the red every week and the TV game saves me. If I was actually buying players, I don't see how I would survive.

As far as my stadium, I have 5,075 capacity and I have never sold it out this season. The closest I've gotten was 3207 for a cup match. On average my home games sell about 2500 seats.

What I am asking for is some serious advice to get me back in the game. How can I make money? I thought it would be by expanding the stadium, but I'm not coming close to selling out. So I just don't get it and this is my major problem with the game.

Can someone help?

TIA!

I should say that my ticket prices are:

bleachers: $18
lower tier: $70
Courtside: $200
I don't have any luxury seats.

i think just as in any sport we know its a competition and competing means you have to win.

i do think you are training your players, so as to improve your players skills. right now its not healthy to just look at the economy by selling players.

you got to win games, as you said you never sold out a game in your arena then i guess work on that winning ways.

to attract fans is to win games! look at your lineup and assess your team strenght by means of skills of your players! then work on a offense style you think would work for you! then build on that! either buying players to help you or develop players.

also try to cut on your roster, if your not using a number of players in your lineup then i would suggest selling or firing them, so you can help your income statement!

also dont throw away much of your best guys since they will be the source of your team run as of now.

dont build your arena yet since your team isnt winning yet!

Thanks for the response Sharkboy but I'll say two things to your post:

1) I am winning. LOL. I'm 10-0 !

2) I only 3 extra guys on the roster. I mainly have them in case injuries strike. I suppose I could cut them, but I would only be saving like $6 or $7 thousand by cutting those 3 guys.

- But that is one of the things that I don't understand. I'm 10-0. In first place and I don't come close to selling out. I have no means of revenue at all. I haven't spent money on big price tag players. I don't have players with huge weekly prices. I just don't get it. The economy in this game seems completely broken.

MOD, ADMIN, VETERAN, what else can I do?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Your ticket prices are too high.

Look at the ticket prices I can command, and I'm in the top division.

Thanks guys! I will do that. I'll lower my prices and I'll build 3 boxes and see what happens. I have nothing to lose.

Anyone else with any advice?

Max scouting on draft players is a bit painful at 40k per week considering you're leading the division, no?

It would be if he weren't at divIV.

Probably most of the teams in his league will turn into bots until it gets to the draft.
I think it's worth it.

I think this scenario gets answered differently on a personal level.

Take into account the 'if' that teams will turn into bots and he's top of the league. Even if he was dead last I personally would find that extra 20k per week for 1 extra scouting is big. I'd happily settle for 20k and 3 scouted draftees per week if I was last. It's not just a question of wanting the best trainees. It's also about balancing your weekly budget.

Going into a negative budget and recovering from TV revenue is balancing on a tightrope. Even if the teams in his division turn into bots, bots draft blind anyway. So you'll draft just as good while cutting your scouting expenditure in half. To some teams scouting 1-2 players a week is a necessity, but scouting 4 a week is surely a luxury.
