I like the layout of the rosters, but I don't understand why the salary and DMI are listed for the players. I've seen GMs on here mention that the DMI is a completely worthless measure. So why list it there?

I suggest listing some of their stats, for instance points and assists per game for the guards, points and rebounds per game for the inside guys. These are (I would hope) the things that got them voted into the all star game to begin with.

I think it would work better if every non-bot team had at least one person voted onto the all-star team. They try to do this in real life and it keeps the ASG interesting for the whole conference. Especially since the selection is screwy already.

In the NBA no real attempt is made to have one player from each team.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

You're right. They do that more for the larger roster sports but I still think it would be a good idea and make the ASG interesting for more than six teams per league.

I don't really agree, but I don't vehemently disagree either.

Honestly, it is not a huge deal to me either. But I know that I'm not going to be watching the ASG or even realy looking at the boxscore, mostly because I don't have anyone playing. My guess is that is the case for most people w/o a player selected.

No way. The ASG should be a reward for the best players of the division, regardless of what team they play for. Otherwise there's no reason to celebrate an All Star Game. Please, keep working to improve the selection system, that's all we need.

I completely agree with you, dhoff. Listing every player most outstanding statistics seems to be a much more logical option than displaying their respective DMIs, which fails to portray a player's real value very oftenly. By showing his stats, we can compare a player with the other ASG participants, and also with those who didn't make it into the list.

Good suggestion, IMHO.

is the all-star voting based on fans who go an watch on my home games? if not, would that be a good option to base the votes on players who they want to play?

...this may result in giving importance to expand arenas... other than generating income itself.
