If I understand correctly, inflation has been going on for some time, is it true? Any idea how high it is? I am wondering whether it's better - monetarily speaking - to buy better players (I don't really need them) and pay their wages or just sit on the money.

Also, what is the best time to buy/sell? In HT it's simple - buy towards the end of the season or in the season break, sell during the first few weeks. But in BB it's apparently a bit more complicated because of the playoffs. So when are the prices at their highest and lowest (especially for older, non-trainable players)?

the prices are pretty fluctuant on BB, maybe because there are to less people who searching at the same time after the same players ;) So i would say with a bit patient you could buy on everyphase on the season.

New trainees are maybe best at the beginning of the season, and in the season break you could buy a bit cheaper(thats for me the time beginning with the transferdeadline for the playoffs - maybe the prices are a bit higher short before the deadline)

The same i would say for selling, to put someone on the list is priceless, so take an high first bid and sell him to an 'idiot' who can't wait ;)

be careful buying players as a hedge against inflation. dont think that is a good idea. you never know when BB gods might takes actions to lower the BB economy

Good point, divine intervention into economy is always a risk. But am I right in assuming there has been an inflation pretty much since the game started a year or so ago?

Yep, seems so.

Do you know when exactly you wouldn't be able to trade players before the playoffs? Is it like a week or a few days?

As long as we have most managers earning more money, then they have to pay salaries, we will have inflation.

at the moment Div 1 Teams have to pay 100k - 220k team salaries + 60k staff + 10k scouting. So in total they have to pay about 170k-290k each week.
However the earn about 200k-550k when having a home game + 50k when having a cup game + 200k when having a B3 game + 400k when having a tv game.

so on average they earn 150k - 400k each week

u can to the same math for division II etc. Obviously they are not earningt as much, but they are still making a huge plus.

u see more and more money comes into the game. Unless a team spends its "hard earned" money on a FA or in its arena. thus we will have inflation.

I believe until a div I Team has to pay about 400k team salaries, we will have inflation. How long this wil take ??? ....2 seasons ...3 seasons...maybe even 4 seasons....I dont know...

As a DII team, a lot goes into the arena. A leaguemate just added on 10000+ seats. (It will take 50 something days) Got to spend money to make money.
