I know how Larry ranks them:

Point Guard
(1) Handling, Passing
(2) Outside Defense, Driving
(3) Jump Shot, Jump Range, Inside Shot

But I'm wondering, if handling is more for catching the ball from a pass or does it include dribbling the ball too (and handling it and avoiding a turnover)? Driving is only related to creating your own shot, right?

So how would you rank the importance of only these three skills to a PG: Handling, Passing & Driving?

I'm thinking Passing (50%), Handling (30%) and Driving (20%).

Seems to me, that if handling is mostly to avoid turnovers, its an important skills in BuzzerBeater, but not as important as passing to a Point Guard, right?

I think that there is no universal "best rank". You may give priority to a PG who hand out great passes or alternatively you may give priority to a PG who is able to shoot... I like PG´s who have all the top six skills balanced...

I agree with Wixix: good guards need to have the six 'guard skills' in balance. If not, then for PGs the most important skills in my opinion are Outside Defence and Passing, then the others equally at the next level of importance.

for me personally:

1: outside defense
2: handling
3: passing
4: jump shot and free trows
5: rebounding, jump range and driving
6: inside shot and inside defense
7: stamina
8: shot blocking

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Outside defense is the most important skill for a PG, I agree with you as well :) and the same with passing, too...

It also depends on your opponents and your own tactic.

OD is very important if you face a lot of outside offense. And if you play Run and Gun then I find JS, JR very important. If you play inside then they at the bottom of the list.

I would argue that OD is valuable in all situations since having a team with good OD seems to cause it to force more turnovers.

Outside defence influences the number of steals a player has.
