Hi everyone,

As we stand now, the team is in reasonably good shape and I don't think there are players that would be stronger candidates than the existing ones. I could be wrong, of course, but our scouting didn't indicate any brilliant prospects out there.

However, soon this can be different. Some of the players currently in NT are getting close to their potential, some might not be trained anymore after being sold to new owners, some might not be trained by current owners in a short while.
All these, combined with the fact that younger players can have higher potential than the current roster make me start this thread in order to give our team a good player base for next season and (more likely) for the one after. It is very true that by the time this new project I start now comes to term, my own NT coach term will expire, but I don't do this for me, I do it for the Canadian NT team. The new coach (maybe me, I don't say I won't candidate again, no idea what will happen until then) will start with a good player base to choose from and our team will have better chances if this project will be successful.

Please post here your candidates.

I would like to request them to be split into two categories:
* immediate impact players: $20,000 and up salary ($30,000 for centers)
* future prospects: $10,000 and up salary and very young (18 or 19) with very good potential.

I am aware the requirements are very vague, but please post your submissions, we can discuss details on player by player basis.

Please also state what do you currently train, what lvl trainer, what your intention in training your prospects are for the near future and long term.

Thank you in advance, let's give Canadian NT a chance!

Just a quick reminder to anyone who posts here:

Posting transfer-listed players is a transfer ad, and will be punished accordingly.

If you want to bring the attention of your transfer-listed player to the Canadian NT coach, BB-mail him directly: uflorin (24867)

lower the minimum salary for 18 year olds. An 18 year old with a salary of 10k or more would not only be rare for Canada but for the entire world. Maybe it should be 7 or 8K for 18 Yos with at least all-star potential.

It's not that rare. I have an 18-yo guard with a 10K salary who is definitely an excellent player, but I don't think he's that rare. And guard salaries appear to trail those of inside players (as uflorin has implied with his different salary requirements for experienced players), so there's probably a decent supply of $10K 18-yo's out there in the world.

In Canada, though, yes, I expect it's rare. It wouldn't take too much effort to find out exactly how rare, really. Hint, hint, Mr. Coach.

Yes, we could go through the last season's draft results for top 3 divisions in Canada and get complete list if needed.

However, this thread has also a purpose of getting people in the community involved.

Wow, that's fast, grats

We might find some good players in division III's too,to be honest, there were active players there that had a chance to great picks due to bot competition.

Looking at them, at least 2 of those will probably never make NT, even if their skills will become comparable with others' due to their potential.

I have a fairly decent 18 y/o draftee from last season with a salary of $ 6 877 but I doubt he is NT material just showing another young rookies salary. Also he is a Center.
Etienne Labrecque (4474479)
Weekly salary: $ 6 877
DMI: 30700
Age: 18
Height: 6'10" / 208 cm
Potential: allstar
I also have a 19 y/o draftee from last season with a salary of $ 6 166. Again maybe not NT material but just sharing my rookie information with you. He is a Small Forward with no weakness really. (4474492) I will be training him alot though.
Weekly salary: $ 6 166
