Most strategies that I've seen for training involve simply training one position (usually guards or centers) and then selling a couple of them off and starting over. Has anybody managed to successfully rotate trainings in order to train different types of players throughout a season?

I've been training my bigs after I drafted a superstar center last year...but now, after this draft, I have an MVP point guard to go with him. Would it be completely foolish to try to keep both of them? I would like to hear from anyone that's tried to keep and train homegrown players. Thanks.

Thanks for the response. I have four very good 20 year old centers that I'm currently training. What I was thinking about trying to do is just put a couple of them with my guards when I train passing, so that their passing skills aren't so horrible. Same thing with my guards when I train Inside Defense on my bigs. That means playing people out of position sometimes, but that seems more effective than doing team training for passing or something.

The PG's stats are high in the places where I value them for a PG. That's one reason I want to keep him. I also prefer to "grow" my own players, but I guess that's hard to do in this game.

I could train the PG with the centers for a season...his handling is just a couple clicks below my current starter, so I think he could probably help me this season, though.

I'm just in the situation where I don't want to get rid of him, but I'm not sure that I have a choice. In most games I play, I build through the draft...I get attached to my players and hate getting rid of them. :P
