I see a lot of people playing Push the Ball...what's the advantage over playing the Base Offense. I understand the pace is higher, but what does that really mean?

Advantage to the team with more depth or stamina?

When would you want to play Push the Ball rather than Base Offense?

Is there an effective defense against it?

It helps when you play team that are weaker in stamina and overall weakness. So if the better team plays push the ball, it will help increase your chances of winning.
Anything to do with higher pace helps better teams, and lower pace helps weaker teams, but you should mainly stick to what your team can do best.

slow pace tactics often got problems to shoot the ball in time, so slow tactics often takes more difficult shots then fast tactics even if the rules says something different.

More pace means a higher score and it is good for better teams for couple of reasons.
1. The high pace gives more chances to each team, but if you are the better team - you will use more of these chances effectively - thus, you gain better points difference in the game. It might be important in a close race in the league.
2. It also reduces a bit the chances for a randomal loss of the better team.

Of course, if your players' stamina level is higher, or your bench is much better - the advantage increases and vice versa.

I have a bench better than most of my opponents in the league, so I use higher pace, and in the 3rd and 4th quarters it helps me establish my victory.

i have crappy stamina, but my players also compete in last quarters and i usually play fast(last game was an bet).

My shooting percentages was better when i play fast, that why i don't loos that high against better teams so i like to play then also as underdog. also team with out a deep bench play fast, because of this reason, in germany(maybe because me and some other always say something like these).

Yeah thats right.

On the Defence side if you have a team playing against you who is probably going ot play push the ball or run and gun it can be worthwhile to give full court press at go. I got overthrown when someone did this to me unexpectedly and it worked perfectly, i gave up 30 TO when i usualy do 4-7. I tried it on a run and gun opponent in my last game and downed them by 70 points when my previous best was about 50. If you have the stamina in your players full court press on high pace offence is a good choice.

Is there a way to see the stamina of my opponent? For example based on his last games or something like that?

Listen closely:

Height plays no difference in the games whatsoever, only training.

This is a fact, period.
