Right now the USA has close to 1300 users, which is pretty good considering we were at around 700 a month or so ago. My question is should we start a mentor program for the rapid increase in American users? It would be great for the national teams, especially the junior national team, if we could get these guys to hit the ground running. The game itself seems pretty straight forward, but I notice a lot of new users getting mixed up on how to handle training and tactics. I know the game is new in comparison to Hattrick, but I don't think it could hurt. I've already had a few users ask me how to handle training for low post players so I know there are people that could use the help. Any one else think this would be beneficial?

We do start them off on the right foot by sending a welcome EMail from one of the USA GMs as soon as they log in for the 1st time.

If you want to start a mentor program, I'm definitely willing to pitch in and mentor the mentors, if you will, or some other way to help if I can.

I suppose we would need a number of volunteers to get things started.

I would be willing to help if needed. I have 1.5 seasons of experience in BB and a smattering of Hattrick experience (that, while not a direct transfer, did help me with the basic mantra of train, train, train when I first started BB). Currently playing in a not very competitive div IV series, so not sure I can help much with game tactics, but I have good experience with inside training.

I suppose the volunteers will start coming in when they see this thread. So far the mentor list is at 3 users, but I only posted this last night. It would be great it JuicePats worked with it but to be honest he already has a ton of BB work managing his own team while managing the USA national team and coordinating scouting. If people need a mentor then BB-mail me and I'll do my best to put you with someone who can help.

This is true, which is why I think the best role for me is to mentor the mentors.

I think that should work, right?

Just because I'm a Nigerian prince that needs help getting money out of the country doesn't mean anything.

I can try to help too, been here since the middle of season 2. I work weird hours, though, so my response time may be a bit dodgy.
