I got a new team, what should I be doing first? I set a default lineup and got creamed in my match. Some people say to train stamina, is that correct? Also, what level of trainer is appropriate to purchase? I hear level 5 or so.

level 5 is to expensive for the beginning, actuall i would go for level 4 as a newbie ... Maybe even a level 3 coach for one or two thoousand Dollars could help during the offseason.

What training is good at the beginning is more difficult, you could say stamina will improve your team because a lot of player have pretty weak stamina* but i would also say you would be pretty happy when you got more then 3 players who are worth to get training so i would go for one or two position training and buy better players from time to time for your rooster and don't invest training in the start team.

* i'm playing still with players with weak stamina, and the effect ain't that high ... i prefer FreeThrow training instead of then, which is usefull especially in the low skills betwenn one and 3(atrocious till inept(??))

See cutting salaries thread here:) I would suggest free throws (or stamina) and wait with training main attributes after you got your draftees. You should consider firing worse players (below 3k generally) to save some money. Now you can't get players for relegation games so you will have to play with what you have. I don't how many human players are in lower divisions will be in the offseason but you probably can't count on bot clearup to save you from relegation.

So scout your opponent and prepare fro the series. Even if you relegate nothing is lost, you will probably dominate the fifth division and have a year to prepare for come back (including a bonus for promotion).
