Apparantly scouts are blind because they get all the players information ie position, age from braille reports because they cant seem to look at them and see how tall they are? I know its probably been brought up before but why isnt there a reason if we scout age/postion we get to see a height.

Obviously if its a 7' guard you are looking at a tall guy with good outside stats you would want to train as a center, but I would hate to be the guy that is drafting centers and when all is said and done, he ends up being 6'5 and I wasted a first round pick on him....

any particular reason we cant see their heights?

I would add another suggestion. I think it could be reasonable to see what positons are players the team didn't scouted.

I don't see that happening. If you have reliable information on each player you can share it with some of your league mates and improve your odds in the draft. In some cases this benefit could be surprisingly big. The blinding keeps the draft fair and benefits us all.

besides that I don't see how you can get that info if your scouts didn't see the player at all. It is illogical to receive data for players the scouts didn't actually scout at all...
I agree on the hight though, at least not exactly on the cm, but an estimate would be good. This could be small - rather small - medium height - rather tall or giant.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

ok, I'm probably comparing it to real drafts too much. I think normally everyone knows there is this guy playing (insert position) but has no idea if he is anthing useful. But then I think they would probably know position rather than height. position is only estimated, it is sometimes way of the ideal position in team system but nobody knows heights until official measurements. And heigh is getting more guidance than position (rumours about 7'2 point guards and such - height is more important informaton of BB trainees than estimated position is). But if a prospect is scouted fully than I agree.

I realize there could be some sharing - but i don't think it would help too much. If they scouted enough players they are recognizable by box score results so no big deal for me.

No, they are not.

Each box score is randomized.

Just an aside:

In the NBA draft, you don't necessarily know the true position of someone. For example, many guys who will be PFs in the NBA play C on their college teams simply because they're so much bigger than everyone else. Playing out of position can conceal some of the useful skills of the player.

aside2:

So many players get extra cm in their teams, that you better look yourself how big he is ... Sometimes this failures goes uo to 10 cm in my feeling.

Another big big concern about scouts that I have is : why O why do they scout twice so many bad players ? Why would they decide to scout twice a player they rated one or two star the first time around ? And leave you in the dark regarding the 5 star players ?

This is the second season in a row that I get a wealth of details about crappy players, like if knowing just how bad they really are is useful to me, whereas I get a list of 8 to 10 five star players that the scouts won't bother to judge twice.

I get it that making a game based on real basketball doesn't mean that every rule and mechanic in the game has to reflect how things go in real life, but something like scouting twice 15 bad players and passing on the 5 star dudes shouldn't be possible.

My suggestion here is, scouts shouldn't examine twice players that they rated less than 3 stars the first time.

many they have denied the request to make an test training at your arena cause everybody wants to see then ;)

Maybe the other guys come direct to such training, and the one Scout point scouting is that they viewed a game from them.

Or it is just master random, else it won't make sense to pay 40k in the draft ... Cause you get nearly all relevant infos with lower cost.
