1-I got an mvp potential rookie sg in the draft and he didnt get a pop this week during training and i trained pg/sg is that the result of only getting 40 min or is the potential not that important.

2-does anyone know how much the potential of a player actually factors in yet or is that still tbd?

3-How old does a player get before he really starts to slow down his training? Is 24 too old to really train too much on a player?

Thanks for whoever posts

1. the fact that a player didnt pop after 1 week training doesnt say anything. Some skills take 3 or 4 weeks to pop when being trained. It all depends on the age off player and the skill set you are training. As far as I have understood MVP means in the long term he will be able to get better developed than another player, not that he gets trained faster.

forgot to add that MVP doesnt mean everything either. I bought a MVP player that is quite high for a guard not knowing that having the correct height for a position counts towards training speed. He is slowly but surely lagging behing my perannial all star and superstar...

2. i dont think anyone knows exactly or even near exactly what factors player potential.

3. I believe you can train players as long as you like, but I reckon that after 22-23 it will slow down so much it isn' worth it to concentrate on the players training. (thats my opinion and I dont believe anyone knows the exact age)

3) I would just add that player can slow down because he already reched his potential too. He will be able to improve but much slower. Sometimes it can happen to relatively young players but nobody knows what to expect and when.

Additionally, a player needs to get at least 48 minutes per week for the full training effect.

Let's say I train something exclusively for the center position, and I have a player that played the whole Tuesday game on the center position, but on Thursday on a different position. He'd still receive the full training effect, right?

Haha yes! :D Is it so obvious? ;)

Thanks for your answers! I expected that, but wanted to be sure since it isn't explicitly mentioned in the rules.
