Hey, I know this question has probably been asked before, but I couldn't find it. I'm new to the game, and I don't know how you can balance out the minutes of all your players? Do you pick "follow the depth chart" and the players would get equal shares of minutes?

Thanks

No. It means that a game engine will use your starting PG (Sg,Sf,...) as coach first choice, than he will use his backup etc. i.e. he would not prefer 3rd pg over 2nd and such things. Also only people from those three slots per position should play at the position baring extreme foul situation and extensive use of bench players in blowout (then even dresed players without an assigned place could see a few minutes on court).
The amount of playing time is influenced by structure of your lineup, difference in quality between starter and his substitues, stamina, foul troubles, injuries, actual score and probably some other things.

No. Minutes depend on multiple factors such as foul trouble, game score, and how good your backups are -- so there's no exact science for that . By selecting Strictly Follow Depth chart, however, you can expect that barring foul trouble or a win by 20+ points, your starters will get ~36 minutes, and their backups ~12, give or take several minutes.
