Home/away games are drawn seemingly at random for interleague games. Doing this causes an competitive imbalance. For instance, the last 3 seasons I've had to play away at the top 4 teams 3 or 4 teams per season. Other teams have played maybe 0 or 1 away game at a top 4 team from the other conference.

The home/away random drawn can decide who gets a top seed, the biggest deciding factor in who gets to the finals and becomes league champion.

This is an inequity that can be fixed by either seeding this annual interleague draw or to take it further, make them neutral court. Since historically BB's have not taken to many neutral court, the best option is likely to seed the matchups.

Neutral court could be a good solution. Seedings have their problems and are useless in lower divisions where teams are abandonned and new teams emerge.

It looks like having a top team from the other conference at home helps selling tickets too (just from my recent experience).
