No blame, just to know your opinion.
Last week I had an horrible game shape (dunno why), this week my players played between 44 and 81 minutes and you can see their game shape. In addiction I've also the specialist. Due to the fact that game shape has an influence in the matches, don't you think that it should realted to some "parameters"?

Something is changed since the beginning of this season in my opinion...

before season 7 it was easier that game shape increased when players played between 50 and 70 minutes....not now ...

...and in my opinion massage specialist doesn't work...when I bought him I hope he was useful also for game shape of the players that played less then 96 minutes....now I think he's really useless also for who plays more then 96...wasted money. :-(

Game shape does not only depend on this weeks' minutes, but it takes the minutes of the last few weeks as well in the new calculation.

From the rules;

Players who do not play much each week tend to lose focus and their Game Shape will be sloppy. Players who play too much in a week will get tired and their Game Shape will also be low-quality. These changes are gradual, and will build up over a few weeks' time.


I've got the massage doctor as well, and my players will stay in 9 GS if they are playing around 60-70 every week. A few however, made 80+ due ASB Cup matches, so they are a little lower in GS now. But I haven't had that much problem in managing my GS so far.

Patje you were in the Holland NT staff, you should know that Berry never got over 80 minutes, you can check if you want, now he's respectable since 2 weeks. I call it random

During that time he always was Proficient game shape if I can remember. I can't remember seeing Berry under 550k DMI for a long time ;).

i think the meaning of that phrase is that the change in GS is not drastic, not that it counts past weeks

No, that IS what it means.

There is an element of random to GS, and there haven't been any changes made recently.

Same thing with my NT player (380658)

- 79 minutes this week -> respectable
- 74 minutes week 02/01/2009 --> 08/01/2009 => respectable
- 38 minutes week 26/12/2008 --> 01/01/2009 => respectable
- 63 minutes week 19/12/2008 --> 25/12/2009 => respectable

I got a massage doctor too.

i have to agree - i think there is more of a random element.... the more i try to get the minutes nicely between 55-80 the more im surprised about the results - one week 0 proficients then 4 or 5.... i have a massage doctor and since then i've found it more difficult where I was hoping it would be easier to find an optimum minute level to target.

It becomes frustrating when as you say you have what you consider to be a perfect week 55-75 minutes across the board and then you end up with 2 strongs and 8 respectable GS.... where you really think you deserve 5 proficients and 5 strongs.
