I saw this happen last game, and now it's happened again. For my cup game, I like to only play the guys that need time, and I usually sit the guys who are over 50 minutes for the week. The last two cup games I've totally blown out my opponent.

Here's the problem:

My bench players get snippets of time throughout the first half, and my starters naturally play more minutes. However, in the 2nd half, the blowout rule goes into effect and the entire bench comes out on the court. What the big problem is that now my starters are DONE for the entire game. This is a problem because I needed to get those guys minutes.

I'm not sure how this could be remedied, maybe give an option to turn off the blowout rule?

my original implementation sat the BEST players, not the starters.. but some people objected to that..

I wouldn't mind having blowout off and taking my chances with injuries.

so this becomes a question of realism.. if we turn off blowout.. then teams are gonna lose by 60 sometimes... this never happens... why.. well for two reasons.. one in a real game when its a blowout the best players rest... second... when ita a blowout the winning team doesn't try as hard.

We could implement the second way.. but that would deteriorate your starters stats. I guess I understand that you cannot completely optimize training given this.. but when is this ever true. Personally I think tis a bit unrealistic to have your best players sitting every game... when real teams do that their fans get pissed off.

The "problem" with my team is that I have 15 starters.

It's a good problem to have though.

My suggestion is: turn off the blow out rule for SFDC. Let that be one of the things that "the coach decides".

This way whoever is more concerned with training than anything else, can just use SFDC, like it was the original idea from the BB's.

(let's make it clear that this is just my realistic suggestion, and that I did not abandoned the ideas of the Bolzano Connection. I know one day BB will have a better way to put together all these substitution AI they have developed. But for now, I think this is the best solution that they might accept :D)

btw.. i havent' heard people complain about SFDC in a while... does this mean they are happy with how its working? (irrespective of blowout, and whether it should be the only option or not?)

well, i dont know what it means from other people, but from me it only means that I've been using LCD now.

I cannot stand losing, and so far on LCD the coach is respecting my depth chart completely and doing pretty much what I expected from SFDC (with the only difference that I win every game now).

My suggestion now would be throw out SFDC and change the name of LCD. Or make SFDC as a different option, like for example turning the "blow out" rule off on SFDC (and possibly changing the SFDC name also).

But yes, as far as the programming of the patterns are concerned, I guess they are fine now (both LCD and SFDC). Just some renaming and minor changes could take place.

so you have used SFDC? or you are saying that LCD now seems to do what you think SFDC should.. and you have no real impression of whether SFDC is good or bad....

i think I need to examine how LCD works on a screwed up depth chart.
