By this way you could play seriously every competition, and the arcade mode for BBB could be deleted. And in my opinion is more realistic...

Possibly has to be somehow influenced, because different type of competition creates different expectations, however I'm not sure what exactly do you mean.

There is always the problems of gameshape, training and injuries, but I think that it could be a great inplementation...

no, not with the arcade mode and that was the reason why they implemented them if i understand the news right ;)
Maybe your change made the cup a bit more intressenting, but i could believe that this was a bit irritating.

I also think that enthusiasm could be in overall slightly higher if you are on that competition new or very unsuccessfull in the past, because it motivates your players to do something about that.
This would give to that function even a "deeper" reason I think.
