I don't know why the other thread was closed.

For some unknown reason (not due to fouls or injury), my pg was removed from the game with 2 minutes to go. I had set strictly follow depth chart, with four of my players having a backup and the pg in question listed as starter, backup and reserve. Is this a bug or is this some new technique implemented by the bb's to prevent full training? I have been using this technique for seasons and have only had problems due to fouls or injuries.

20+ point lead maybe? I wonder what the lineup in last 2 minutes were (the four backups and one random starter?).

I have had a lot of experience with the 20 pt lead and never had this happen when i have submitted these orders. With 2 minutes to go, after having taken out the other 4 starters with about 6 minutes to go, the starting shooting guard was substituted for the starting point guard to play point guard. and as noted, the starting point guard was indicated to be the starter, backup and reserve.

The last version of the game engine sometimes does "horizontal" substitutions, which means it evaluates possible subs not only behind the player in the Depth Chart, but also at other positions on the same level of depth.

Strange. Strange things happen. At least it wasn't starting PF or C. I agree with you of course.

We do continue to try and improve end of game logic - was this a relatively close game? In a situation in which you expect to be fouled, the game engine will substitute out poor FT shooters in favor of better ones.

Up 24 points with 1:43 to go in the game. Perhaps it was due to the fact that BB-Mark's pg had already scored 52 points on the rookie, and my starting point guard had had enough. For now, will just consider this an anomaly.

maybe stamina was too low to play the whole match?

That's my first guess too. It happens to me too with my out of shape players. The coach pulls them at inopportune times late in the game, presumably because they're about to pass out.

The guy in question has inept stamina. I will try it once or twice more (with a control groups involving respectable and awful levels of stamina).
