maybe already suggested, but I read over so many thread titles that I actually forgot what my own suggestion was, and I didn't find it...
(after at least 5 minutes of hard thinking I wasn't lucky enough to be able to remember my suggestion... then after opening a second browser and reopening my last visited pages, I remembered...)
so here it goes:
Alter the effect of TV games.
It is somethimes hard that there is either much, or less time between the TV games, expecially if you are in situations where you can't real win, and have to wait long for the next, or can win easely, but then 1 week later have the other where you loose...
I'm not suggesting to change this! It has it's charms.
But what I noticed is that the result of the game is prety important. It doesn't matter much where you win or loose, or how. If you win, you are about sure of 4 balls or more in your fan survey, while a loss means 2 balls or less.
I waited long enough to make sure it is no coincidence. And now that I am prety convinced it works that way, I'd like to ask to alter the formula, so that even if you loose, your fans can still think you didn a good job.
My last TV game for instance was an away game which I lost by 2 points, missing my own shot at the buzzer.
I think this easely qualifies for a 'loosing nail biter on the road', still my fans only give me 1,5 or 2 balls for the game.
The rules say otherwise.
I know fans moods can change, and the survey is for a small group, but at this stage, with the info I have, I think the win or loss factor is just to big, and other things like: was the other team much weaker, or better, was it at home, did I win big or was it a nail biter... these extra factors should get more weight...
It's totally unfair that fans should say you performed bad if you loose by 2 points in an away game against a team you have hard times beating on the road. The performance was good, the show was good, it was exciting, yes we lost, but to say they performed bad... 2 balls, com'on, it desrves an average 3 balls...no? ;)
Just the same I wouldn't mind getting only 3 balls if we win at home against a team we should not loose from. Which now often gives 4 or even 5 balls...
They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.
