Hey all, has anyone done any research or have any ideas on how much of an effect PR managers have on attendance? I have a lvl 4 PR manager and am in the highest league level in my (small) country, have been losing practically every week, but have filled my stadium quite regularly since getting him. I'm adding on to my stadium, but am wondering if I can also boost ticket prices too.

Your stadium is quite small for a D.I team, so I think it shouldn't be a problem to full fill it anyway. Even after your expansion and maybe even with higher prices, I suppose.

There have been a couple of discussions about PR-Manager and his level. I think opinions differed a lot. Same as with doctors and trainers.

Raise prices - build capacity until you are just not filling the stadium. Then fire the PR guy and recruit a new one with higher or lower skill level. The changes should be due to the quality of the PR manager. Then post your experience here ;-)

we'll see about firing the PR guy :) but I do get what you are talking about.

Just to double check - in the long run I'll make more money building up the arena and finding the price range that works for me, yeah?

My view is to maximise the prices and invest resources rather into players. Once you are at the top of the pricing range, you build up capacity. If then kicks in a period of lost games you go down with the prices to maximise return.

The issue I have with this is that you don't see the full impact the day after you get your new PR manager. The impact is longer-term than that.

I think you underestimate the increase of your weekly income. Many seats at low prices do make more money than few seats at high prices. Don't ask me for calculation, but thats what I experienced. So, if you wait until you reach the top of the price range you actually lose a lot of money with visitors.
Well, regarding a long term strategy increasing your stadium can never be a bad idea.

That might be true. But every seat you build takes a full season on maximum prices until you break even. If you take average prices such as you suggest it takes two seasons. From this moment onwards the seat brings return but the other seats (those that you had before) bring less return as you need to lower prices to fill them all. On top of this: what happens if you are promoted to a higher league and yyou lose more games - again you need to lower the prices...

My conclusion: you have to look at profit, not just at income

if you go to a higher division, you probably get more season ticket holders, plus you are playing teams with a higher number of season ticket holders as well, so you are probably more likely to fill seats anyway.

I did promote this season and I do sell more tickets even though I lose games. Last year I made about 80k+ $ per game now its approximately 130k+ with around 1000 more seats. So I think its definitely worth it especially (as I said before) when you're heading a long term strategy.
I can tell more next month when my next arena expansion is done and I lowered my prices again. (And have lost more games;))
