No, the Player gets only trained once a week. But what you can do is for example let him play 20 minutes SG and 28 minutes PG, so that he gets full training (if you train both positions)

I got a Q in the same direction

What happens if I dont select a backup but only a reserve and i let my coach pick from the depth chart. Doe this reserve get less minutes compared to if he were a backup (without a reserve)?

if u let coach oick from depth chart, its not even sure ur starter is getting much minutes, if the coach thinks the reserve is better.

i guess that was exactly the question.
the logical consequence is: if u let coach pick, he dont cares of starter/backup/reserve, he gives the player time on the court, of whom he thinks hes the best.
so ur player will get the same time on the court, regardless if backup or reserve.

i guess, 'lets coach decide' means, he uses all players for every position. so e.g. at pg he dont uses just the pgs u selected for starter/backup/reserve, the coach uses also other players, if he thinks it is best for the current tactic/matchup.

but i must admit, thats just guessing. i never ever let the coach decide.
