I have a team in my league that was active but not is an inactive team managed by a bot. How come the players have not been wiped out? The team still has players from when it was active. Team(22829)

edit...do the players only get wiped out after a new player takes over?

pretty sure that a bot manager takes over the team when an inactive user is found. And as before with the other bot teams when a new user signs up and is assigned a new team they will get new players.

That is correct... we could wipe the teams.. but that would screw up the playoff seedings and such...

so like team A builds a great team.. but abandons it for some reason.. they get the number 1 seed.. then he is marked inactive right before the playoffs and the number 4 seed gets to play a wiped out number 1 seed which now doesn't have the players that got it that seed.

but i think that once the inactive teams are replaced by new teams, their old players should not just be removed but should go to the transfer list.

First because these would spice up the action in our transfer market even more. And second because some of these players have a history on the leagues already and would be a shame to just remove them.

They should all go on sale with starting price $0.

I think this idea has some merit but not sure how it will effect the market if all the players from inactive teams are sold in huge quantities.
I assume that finding inactive teams is not a continous process thus creating a slight problem. If like before a mass inactive team search is done then hundreds if not thousands of players flooding the market.

If this is a current problem then league or division searches could be done instead over a longer period of time.

yes, i guess you have a point. and also if we buy them then the money is going nowhere. Is money dissapearing from the game.

But another idea (which would be awesome but I doubt the BB's will have time for even answering it), would be to set this players ans "Free Agents" and teams would have an auction for the players salary, where the team that oferred him the highest salary after 3 days wins the auction and takes the player home with no charge (except haqving to pay the offered salary weekly).

Players fired could go out as "Free Agents" for 3 days also.

I like the idea. Maybe to stop people just mass signing these guys, 10X the weekly wage could be paid as a signing bonus. That way people won't just sign them and instantly put them up for transfer!

I don't think we need to make them pay anything when they sign the guy, but you are right, we definetely need a restriction to avoid day-traders. So I'm writing down the suggestion on my list like this:

Free Agency

Players fired or players from deactivated teams should become free-agents, and we would have auctions on their salary. We would need a restriction like the team that acquires a free agent cannot not sell or fire the player for an entire season, or if they want to do it before they have to buy him out (paying for him the rest of a season's worth of salary).
