what is it. im trying to decide between twwo differet players to get rid of and they were prettyequal but then i saw one had more DMI and i was wondering if that should way into my decision

DMI isn't a great way to compare to different players... DMI is a reflection of a lot of things that can easily askew who is the better player. Examples being game shape, if a player has received training when another has not, etc.)

It's better to compare the stats of the players and move from there. If their positional stats are equal, look at whoever has better intangible stats, or who will fit in your plans for the long term... Age, Height, Salary...

Use DMI as a last resort. With everything else equal, I think the sub levels of the skills of the players are reflected in the DMI of a player. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

yes they affect it, but dmi is highly depending on game shape so a variance of the gameshape makes much more different then a slighly difference in skill.

therefore it allows you to see changes in the subs of game shape in players without training
