Hi, new to the game and trying to understand how the DMI system works. Are lower numbers or higher numbers indicitive of a better player? Are the players/rating grouped into catagories (i.e. PG, SG, PF, etc.) or are all of the players in the same 'hopper', so to speak. Thanks in advance!

dmi is not useless, it is a complex perimeter which shows how your player is going to perform. but it changes in a way i cannot yet find out. training has not much to do about its increase or decrease, gameshape is much more related i think.

Training does surely influence DMI. When the gameshape stays exaclty equal (so no sublevels increase) the DMI will rise when the player improved in one of his skills.

Game shape has a huge influence at DMI, that's why you may see huge fluctuations in the DMI of your players week by week. This makes it hard to value the strength of your players solely by DMI. In general, however, a higher DMI means that your player will perform better.

and DMI is higher for centers and power forwards than for plamakers, shooting guards and small forwards,so a users had to look at DMI looking also the role of a player
