Say I draft a C who has Hall of Fame potential, and is a sure-fire good player. Only when I see him, he's 6'3. Not to waste his potential. I train him all year on hist guard skills, on his 1 on 1 skills, his handling, passing, shooting, and outside defense. Would his best position change?

Very likely yes. It all depends on thi'er skill level. If you use one of the salary predictors, it will also tell you his prefered possition.

Players on my team are not always played at their listed position. For instance my last scrimmage i used a C as a PF and he had 11 pts and 12 rebounds. He made more points than he did at C...So yea i jus wanted to say that.

try to make a good SF out of him
spend one season training outside skills and then a slow season of inside trainings...
if he's listed as C he should have a bit of inside skills already so you could make a good SF (all round player)

Its exactly the same dilemma that i had with 1 of my draftees. Mine was much tougher thought couz 6'3 high skill/potential C, with decent outside skills, but i already have some nice big men trainees, so i decided to give him inside training for 2 seasons. (that player is already part of my U21), then i advertise him, to a dwarf trainers, so with 2 seasons dwarf training, he will be a very complete SF, and the money that i got from him i bought my SG. Now if you can afford to change your training plan and from guards go to bigs then keep him. If not, the route that i gave you its a good option too.
