Ok, heres the thing. every time i've used crunch time i've lost! Everytime! Can someone tell when it is appropriate i.e. what your enthusiasm should be at, to use crunch time effectively.

I think it actually made me lose those games cos at the moment i'm leading my conference and the teams i've lost to aren't even playoff teams at the moment.

When i have used crunch time my enthusiasm has been at 5. is that the problem and if so what should your enthusiasm be when you use crunch time?

Crunch time unequivocally does not make you lose games, not in the least.

Crunch time makes your players play better for that game, regardless of current enthusiasm, and will lower your enthusiasm after the game.

so it almost makes sense to play crunch time every game then. cos no matter what it'll make you play better then you normally would have.

No, not at all.

My post stated that there would be a loss of enthusiasm, which is quite heavy.

Crunch Time should only be used when it's extremely important to do so.

ahhh so using crunch time wont necessarily make you lose the game you use it in but because of the entusiasm drops it could the following games.

Seen as enthusiasm tends back towards 5 for the playoffs, would it make sense to crunch time your last one or two games?

Not really.

There's no reset before the playoffs, so CTing a game right before the playoffs could be a disaster.

Furthermore,
If you can afford losing a game or two at the end of the season, I would advise you to TIE, to make your team more enthusiastic in the playoffs.
