sure, there are pros and cons for slowing down the pace of the game engine, but in order to get more realistic boxscores, many people think, this had to be done. so i want to give some ideas, how to slow down the pace and maybe others are adding their ideas:

one problem i see, is that no time gets of the clock between a shot and a rebound:
3:46 player A shots a three
3:46 shot missed
3:46 player B pulls down the rebound

this is way to fast, so just take some time of the clock, like this:
-3pt shoot, 2 seconds of the clock
-2pt shot, take 1 second of the clock
-missed 2nd (3rd) free throw (which will lead to an rebound!), take 1 second of the clock
-no time taken of the clock after a shooting foul

the line above would change to:
3:46 player A shots a three
3:44 shot missed
3:44 player B pulls down the rebound

in a "normal" BB-Game there are 90 shots and more per team, this will be more than 180 seconds of playing time going of the clock!!! this should slow down the pace. of course you calibrate the times, could take time of between a miss and the actual rebound, or you could consider, that (not in last minutes or so) the clock keeps running after a made shot, so the inbound takes place 1 to 4 seconds after the made shot! all these things add up to the pace in a basketballgame.

Sounds like a good idea to handle this problem with an easy solution.
No idea if it is easy to implement though.

I'd write your above lines different:

the line above would change to:
3:46 player A shots a three
3:45 shot missed
3:44 player B pulls down the rebound

--> the bal needs time to reach the rim + every second the viewer gives new info which is more interesting to watch imo.

Two-pointer:

3:46 player A takes a shot
3:46 shot missed
3:45 player B pulls down the rebound

Climbing the BB-mountain. Destination: the top.

Agree to add the time gap between the shot and rebounding, sometimes i experienced below event that is unrealistic and i felt strange.

3:46 player A takes a LONGER 3-point shot
3:46 shot missed
3:45 player A "BOX OUT" the defender and pull down the "OFFENSIVE REBOUND"
3:45 player A scores a two-hand "DUNK"

How can many motions happened in 1-2sec??? Is he jumper?

I lost a game to this! the other team had the ball and it was tied and it went
0:01 player shoots and misses
0:01 player gets offensive rebound
0:01 player makes shot
This should defiantly be fixed
