because the income and the money the clubs spend, stands in direct connection ;)

Till now it is still very dynamic, because player reach higher levels in salary, the econonic system change frequently but with a running system the prices will land in an area will small up and downswing depending on the stand of the season.

I agree... and I also hate the big gaps... for 1m you get a so-so player... for 1.5 a kinda good one, then from 1.5 till 2-2.5m there's a gap... and for the great ones at least 3m+
free agents were a great great way to make people list their players for a fair and reasonable price because the FA would go for real market value. Now prices can be artificially pumped since there's no way to get something for it's real market value

of course... but remember there are many players here that don't know what the value is and bid a lot on players that aren't worth that much. Free Agents have a base list price of 0$ and go up to the real market value... people transfer list their players for 2$ when they are really worth way less, and you will find someone to bid on that player. The the transfer estimate value says 2m when the player isn't worth that much.
Prices will go up, you'll see... outside players even more than inside players. I'm all down with this being a partially economy simulation, but not to the point that you can't do anything without a ton of money.
This plus the "'money refund for big arenas" that already paid for themselves will sc*ew up the economy in the game. Maybe. I hope not.
I just think Free Agents helped keep the prices realistic (in the confines of the game). Good free agents would also sell for 3m... but then people couldn't sell their lousy players for 2.3m ad example

with free agents you just need two people who doesn't know how much the player is worth ;) I don't know is a small starting value always is the way to sell people cheap, sometimes you get pretty good prices for such players.

What rookie owner has $2.3 million to bid on a "lousy" player? And why would an auction for a free agent inherently find that player's "real market value" whereas an auction for an owned player would not?

I think much is being made over free agency's theoretical ability to hold down prices. I doubt it would be of any significant effect in the face of increasing player salaries and revenues.
