I agree those situations can be very frustating. However people generally sell for their market value since its a free market. If you think the player was reserved, you can fill in a report and the gm team will have a look at it. However bidding at your own player is a risky and expensive option for the reasons mentioned by oeuftete.

I dont know... At the moment the game really pisses me off (sorry to use those hard words), any suggestion I make is instantly turned down and I am even made fun of, my post are rated with 1 ball in general (lol, sb. even stalked the forum of my league where nobody posts at all to give me 1 ball there) - any energy put into this "community" is a waste of time... The first game/online community I had those "problems"...

Close this thread please.

EDIT: and dont forget to 1-ball asap

We read every thread in the suggestions forum, and we look at every suggestion in a serious way. Some can be implemented right away (like the +/- difference), some belong to long term projects, some are impossible to make, others aren't good enough.

We value the opinions of the community a lot, after all, those are the people that keep BB running. Many changes have been made in the past at suggestions of users, discussions at the forums are read carefully and we try to give the best solution for all involved parties. It's just not that easy to always satisfy everyone.

It's a pity you think the energy you put into this community is a waste of time, we certainly don't want it to look like it is, since it's not.

I know at least two situations where people have bid for their own players that haven't been discussed.

Once was me, I listed a player (ok it was late at night) and I left a "0" out. Ha ha. I did want to sell but I didn't want to sell him for $3,000 so I bid it to what I wanted as the real starting price. Mind you I did this within two minutes of the initial listing and he sold anyway.

The other time was a friend of mine who had just started playing. I was looking at the TL for guys to buy for my team, Aussie players, then I saw this guy ...and it was my friends. I sent him a message saying something like, "Why are you selling that guy, he is great?" There had been some bids already so he had to raise the bid and bought his own player back.

I think these are legitimate reasons to allow people to bid on their own players.

Sure, bidding on your own players isn't illegal, it's the only way to get players back if you decide to keep him when he's already slited.

Don't get discouraged if you get 1-balled. I get that all the time. Some people will 1 ball you whenever you disagree with something. It does not matter if you are wrong or right.

I think the better option would be to make it the following:
When you try and list a player on the transfer list, at the moment it gets listed instantly, perhaps we can make so that when you try and list the player, it takes 1 hour before he is actually put on the market. During that 1 hour you have the option to change the price, or even cancel it all together.

This 1 hour window will allow mistakes in price to be fixed, and any last minute changes on mind regarding selling their player to be fixed. And this doesn't affect anyone else because no one will actually be able to see that the player has been set to list in 1 hour and so they won't know the price has changed or that the player is no longer going to be up for sale.
