Ok there are a lot of questions here but I´ll try and be as brief as possible.

Basically if you have a balanced team, Let Coach Decide will do everything you want to do.

If you have a starter and a backup that are fairly evenly skilled then they should get pretty even minutes (give or take some factors i.e. stamina)

Let Coach Decide DOES take into account your depth chart (they all do), but it does so to a lesser degree. This means backups get more minutes if they can perform.

The more "strict" you make your depth chart the more time the starter will get.

If you are good you can do everything on Let Coach Decide and players are less likely to be injured, because they are not playing for whole games.

I hope this gets to the point enough. good luck

Sure, but don't forget about training and form. Since they are more or less a variable, your the way a coach uses subs will change because 1 player who was looking good one week, may not be the next.

This is why I "give or take some factors" I meant all the other things like 'form'/'practice this week' (practice this week is what BB calls the form of a player in the current week)

What do you mean by training? The coach does not consider if a player does not have enough minutes during the week (as far as I know) that is our job.

Is it in the rules that players who are forced to play when tired have a greater chance of getting injured, or is that something you've just found to be true?

I've have only ever got 1 injury and it was a long time ago (as soon as they implemented injuries)
So no I cannot say I have experienced this.

I am guessing that tired players are more likely to injure themselves (at least this is true in real life - cramping and pulling a muscle).

If it is not the case then maybe the other thing to think about is if they are on the court they can be injured.
If they are not they cannot be injured. I personally cannot see it being completely random that an injury event occurs but maybe that is how it is coded.

Either way the longer someone is on the court the more likely an injury. BBs please correct me if I am wrong.

So does stamina allow players to play more minutes in a particular game or more minutes overall in a week? Or both?

More minutes in a particular game.
