I meant to take each game completely independently, as in hypothetically assume that one game has no effect on the other. That each game is in a unique situation. If enthusiasm is at 5 in both cases, but in one game you use TIE and the other you use CT, would the team ratings in the box scores for each of those games look different or the same? Assume that everything you can think of is identical in each game, and each game is independent of the other, the only difference being that one game you use TIE and the other you use CT.

No, under these hypothetical circumstances the ratings would be the same. The results wouldn't, though...

Oh and in addition to my questions above, does the strength of the other team affect your end of game team (not player) ratings?

in my eyes yes i believe you get better ratings against better competion(but i won't guarantee that)

Another point to the general discussion, the rating get also affect through the game change made by the coach. So if you face a team which play 2-3 Zone, you will probadly end with better outside ratings while you get better inside ratings when you play against a good outside defence.

Thanks. I was curious about enthusiasm level and the ratings. That clears it up a bit.

So the other team's tactics will have an affect on your team ratings, that is interest...

I've held everything constant in two games before (same lineups, tactics, effort level, enthusiasm, game shape etc.) but if I look at the box score for each game, the team ratings (not player ratings) sometimes are different.

What factors would make the team ratings for these two games different, despite everything being identical?

Also, enthusiasm might have changed. Enthusiasm has sublevels, so even if it looks stable there might have been small changes.

Also, the opponent's lineup plays a role. Your team adapts to the opponent over the course of a game, so different opponents might trigger different responses from your team.

Oh so it is minute distribution that has the effect. Gotcha. So does stamina also play a role in team ratings? As in, if I play all my players 48 minutes in a game, that would result in worse ratings than if I had a backup for every position?
