Everything is worse than M2M IMO.

Secondly I don't agree. I think they both drop a base perimeter defense by about one. Except FCP is worse because it drops interior defense and rebounding while 2-3 boosts that latter two.

FCP does get you steals though...

and 2-3 zone vs. an outside offense... game over 99% of the time.

Well if you have a shooting team, than yes. If you have a balanced team and they have really good outside defenders, then it's not 99%. Know that with 2-3 defense, you will get no offensive rebounds, so you rely on first attack only. This also mean the team playing 2-3 defense will have more possessions and if it's able to score better against you than you against him, they win.

If they have better rebounders than you and you play M2M or 3-2, they will get a lot of offensive rebounds and second chances and thus offsetting the advantage you have against their defense.

That's why I chose FCP, because I have a team with good offensive flow and especially Handling. Steals are not that much of a problem because I have a better defense than offense, so even if they have more possessions, they will not score more than me. Also my off.rebounds and their steals will probably cancel each other. FCP is a really horrid offense and worse than 2-3 in most cases.

I can't believe so few people voted for outside box and 1.

You mean that there are more options than just 3-2 and man to man.... wow - did I miss the announcement??!!

The problem is that while FCP is by definition an extreme tactic to use in some specific condition,so if it does not work it will not change your life,2-3 should be the fist tactic to use against a team that plays with inside tactics
So,the fact that 2-3 does not work in many situation, really hurt much more than a maybe worse tactic that however you should use very few times

I would always go with 2-3 zone because I have amazing shooters for my league, but no true PG who can successfully handle a FCP.

Outside Box and 1 works pretty well when I use it, I'd never pick that for my opponent.

Had to go with Inside Box and 1 though, never worked for me and I've never seen anyone using it effectively.

2-3 is a killer against low rebounders and FCP can be troublesome as it seems to generate a huge amount of random games.

Because if you have an inside oriented team, I think you pick 1-3-1.
If there was a 1-4 zone, 2-3 would not get any vote either.

I picked 1-3-1 because I am so dominant inside. However I do have good enough guard to win playing a base offense. But I would love some team to choose 1-3-1 against me!
