And again, the combination of two of my suggestions will do the work, like they do in the NBA.
Players in higher leagues should be more "mature' players, but with lower potentail or with lower rate of improvement.
By that - they're payroll will be high enough to take care of them, and you will need to invest more on their training managing, and on the draft managing. Summary - invest more time on BB-managing.

Crap player exists also on NBA draft.

And how do those earn their payroll other than going to Europe or playing in a D-league? Even some NBA first rounders never get a NBA contract ...

Great - so they will have a strategy and they will exploit it by better scouting in the draft! That is one of the things I've pointed toward. Thanks for your help!
It doesn't matter what will they do. They will have a strategy.

Some have already a strategy. They don't invest in the draft. Why refuse them this strategy ? In NBA, not every club have the same budget for draft and scouting.
Great again - they could keep that, and pay for the worse player they will get due to that. If they want to keep neglecting one of the main features of BB-managing they will need to face the consequenses.

If I have already my three trainees, why would I be forced to take a fourth ??? If I know that next season, because of promotion, I will have a better chance at the draft, why would I be forced to invest my points now ???
It is like saying, if I know that I have a very hard game next "day", why should I use my players for todays game.
Answer - you don't have to, but you will need to face the consequences of that on current game.

Again, in the NBA the first round has a secured contact.
They managing that, and so on BB-managers need to.
It is as simple as that.

Besides, even if we ignore the fact that this is not the NBA, even though every team in a crappy div V would rather compare his league to the NBA than to anything else, there are teams in the NBA that give away their draft picks for close to nothing. So it's not like everyone is committed to their first round pick. Teams trade their picks for future second round picks...
So those NBA teams, pays by sending (probably) better players for not being needed to pay their payroll.
Sounds like they are still paying for the draft choice they make...

Not true (again).
The first round draft has secured contract at their first few seasons (3 I think at their three seasons).
They are NOT going to europe.

At the last seasons, or one before that there was a big man, that had been selected at the first 5 picks on the NBA.
He wasn't what they had thought he would be, but they paid for him because of that rule, and sent him after some time to the...D-League.

Complete nonsense. If you don´t sign your first round draftee, you don´t sign him. Period.

He can play in Europe then, in lower leagues, whereever he grabs a contract.

Not true.

A player who decides to play in europe can do that. The rules are NBA teams rule.
He is not obligated, BUT all of the teams are.
So, if he decides playing in the NBA, then the team who selected him must pay him his contract.
Even the salary that they will pay him (a first round drafted players) is define by the rules.

Reality is not in your favour this time.

As foolish as this suggestion is, if it was included in Buzzerbeaters, then the ability to trade draft picks would have to be included as well.

I'm not doing that - this game is ABOUT THAT.

If you want to play / make a BB-manager game, it should be just about that.

If you are about being a big hot-shot trader that can get online whenever you want, there are other games that focus exactly on that.

This game is about BB, and should focus on that.
The NBA is the best place to learn what should be on this game.
