I think alot of people, especially new players, put to much emphasis on trainers. They will spend around 20000k a week plus the signing cost, for trainees that are not very good. I have only got trainees that have star - allstar potential (even a starter actually) And at first I had an advanced and then realized I was paying out the noise for him. Then I bought a basic with career extension ability, and he does great for me and it only cost 2000 to sign him. I was training pressure and would get 1 OD pop out of each of them every 2-3 weeks. Not bad for a basic!

It sounds as if you used 2 position training.
When it comes to skills like PA-JR & OD, it will slow things to a crawl.
Important trainees need the 1 pos training.
If that were the case, guaranteed you would have received at least 1 more pop per player.

3 pops in 12 weeks is not exactly a reason to switch to 1pos training. Is level 4 that much worse than 5?
2pos you can train and play 5 guys without losing so much in terms of league production. But playing a rookie 48 mins will definitely hurt you. So, is it 50%, or 70% or 67%? Cause if it is not 70% as advertised, but rather 50% 1pos training appears much more attractive.

Difference between a level 4 and 5 is 2 or maybe 3 pops in 1 seasons so thats not really a big difference.
I still have have a trainer level 4 ,because I have to spend a lot of money for my arena for expanding.
Last seasons a trained a 18 year old trainee C with level 4 and I got 12 skillpops, thats not bad.
But I did train mostly 1 position ,and I did 3 weeks rebounding on 2 postition.

A quick perusal of Wozz's training speed analysis suggests 2 position provides 70% of the training that 1 position training does.

For instance, the average skill increase in OD for:

Pressure PG: 0.38
Pressure PG/SG: 0.27

Which is right around 70%. This is irrespective of height, age, and trainer level.

Similarly, the average skill increase in IS for:

Inside Scoring C: 0.44
Inside Scoring C/PF: 0.31

Again, right around 70%.

The rest of the training options break down similarly.

Is that per player? Cause... training wise, sure, maybe not a "big difference" but if its for each guy, and my 3rd trainee is just a guy I am training up and then selling. that's a trainers week of salary in sell value possibly.

How about you stop crying about effectiveness on playing trainees for 48 minutes in "ONE" position for "ONE" game and just do it. You get more pops and faster. So you play a bum in one position one game a week and maybe lose? Get over it. You can play a beast the next league game and play the other scrub trainee in your Cup/Scrimmage match. The rate you're training your guys they'll be bums for life. This way they'll be productive enough to consistently start and win you games in a season or two. Man up baby, peace.

I think it might be time for some people to relax. IMO THylacine asked a pretty reasonable question, and didn't really sound like he was whining. More like wondering whether the conventional wisdom about 2 pos training was correct. So chill a bit.

Sorry if I came off harsh but geez. Everyone was giving him good advice and he kept running back to his 2 position stuff.

Yeah that's per player,if you have trainees who could be U21 player then you need a level 5 .
This C that I was training I bought for 90 k,I gave this guy 1 full season training and sold him for 550k.
Just a level 4 trainer..
*you're trainees needs to have 48 minutes every week,if not then you youre player does not pop a lot, even with a level 6 trainer.

In DivV I can lie on my back twinkling toes and still win the league. Try to stay competitive in DivIII, then you can start giving out behavioral advices.
