I completely agree with you. Only in BB would PnR be just as much an "offence" as Inside/Outside Isolation. It's not realistic, but how complex can they make the game...

What I would like to see is that in div5/4, you can get by with basic offence and defence setups but, as you go, you have to get more in-depth with it all.

The introduction of the Isolation tactics is super strange..

Perhaps the BB team should include some knowledgeable coaches......

Pick and Roll offense thing.

I see it as forcing up a new issue as well. Fouling tendency.

Who set's the pick and roll? are you doing them high post? low post? back-door? Where are the screens occuring?
We already have plays in the game where player A slips off the screen and fires up a shot. that's the same thing, just not as a focused offense.

If we focused it as an offense, then we have more offensive fouls for moving picks, illegal screens, etc. And more defensive fouls for people running over them etc.

Edit: Not to mention risk of injury. Both for setting pick, and for players running into picks.

5'9 guy runs into a 7'5 guy who sets an illegal pick... you're telling me that Nate Robinson wouldn't get plowed by Yao Ming in that situation?

Yes I am telling you that I don't think in hypotheticals but instead actually watch NBA basketball time and again.

NO people don't get busted up from screens or strictly on fouls.
Sure injuries happen on screens, but its not a common type of injury.

Contradicting yourself left and right. And buddy, I played basketball. I've seen them injure too, so if you're through with your presumptions, and contrary statements, learn some politeness.

Edit: If you look at my post it says "risk of injury"

risk means a chance...
chance means could, not guarantee. So I guess I may need to spell things out more/better. I do understand that not everyone on here is fluent in English.

Ok if you are saying risk of injury on screens, then I agree. Hopefully not tied to foul. Right now I think their logic is foul or no, then if foul yes X% chance of injury...which totally sucks.

I think risk of injury shoudl be a given % for every play, but way lower than currently (I have like 2 injuries a friggin weak lately its getting really annoying). Like maybe 50% under the basket on a play and just random % which player is injured, not always the fouled shooter. maybe 30% on loose balls. maybe 10% on drives. then split the other 10% of injuries between outside shots and plays off the ball.

Agreed.

but the risk to injure you more severe is pretty low, and imho not so dependend who set it not even sure if an illegal screen from nate robisnson on Yao ming is more dangerous then the other way round since Yao wouldn't just bounce off and maybe kiss the floor.

jammed finger, sprained knee, twisted ankle, concussion, wind knocked out of you, broken nose

none really severe (in basketball), but all result in missing time

since injuries currently, are just either. 1 game.at least a week, etc. and no "specific" injury. I see no differentiation.

Wolph's examples of fouled on a shot, then injured. For all we know, jammed finger every time.
