I bet BB would appreciate every increase in user value.
The thing that make me think this suggestion might work is the fact that lot's of managers are really engage to this game just as you described.

You know that the benefit of a feature is not just judged upon its income but also for the investment it cost and what it could by instead for creating other revenue.

For example, the decrease in the community base (which is parallel to the decrease of supporters I presume) is something that worth much more investment than at this feature.

This is a game related suggestion and this is the place to suggest it to BB.
As owners of this business they are responsible to evaluate this suggestion / business model if they think it's interesting.
I am honest enough say all I know about this suggestion, the good and the bad.

Most chances this suggestion won't be implemented, at least not anytime soon as it requires some research and development, but hey, it's a thought and crazier things had happen...

To sum it up: Increase user value is something that can really contribute to this game as I see it. Virtual currency is one way to achieve it. Maybe...

i think this could be an excellent suggestion

if the current game is left totally unchanged and all these "extras" were new features that were added 2 the game

so 4 ur buzzer-beater-bucks u could buy

image changing things
* new haircut as suggested
* duy ur hair
* a tatt
* goggles/face mask
* headband
* scars

naming things
* give ur player a nickname that will be in " quotation marks" between their 1st & 2nd names - just need 2 have a warning that offensive 1s will be removed w no refund
* name a draft pick (could only be done in the first week of the season while their DMI was still 0 just like renaming teams)
* name ur team sponsor
* naming rights 2 a league 4 a season (ist come first served & would need to be expensive in the top leagues) this happens all the time in real sport so instead of "div 3/6" it would be the "div 3/6 mcdonalds championship"

other graphical things
* team uniform been waiting 4 ever 4 this
* homecourt design that would be displayed in the viewer during games
* cheerleader pics (but need 2 be careful 1 basketball game has these & they r virtually porn)
* coach
* manager

maybe some of these ideas r bad but just off the top of my fishy brain there r lots of things that could be used 2 make bb more $$$ that wouldnt affect play balance @ all
